Any video content producer/owner can become a Filmbox partner as long as they own rights for content distribution and intend to distribute their products with maximum efficiency. Video content can be of any nature: films, documentaries, cartoons, adult movies, as long as it is high quality content and meets our technical demands stated below. Filmbox is a new, on-line video delivery platform for the territory of Romania, an alternative means of delivery as opposed to traditional channels. Internet evolution and digital Equipment ever lower prices (high resolution monitors and TV sets, ultra-portable laptops, stand-alone media players etc.) has lead to significant rise of the Video-on-Demand market over the last years. The concept of Video-on-Demand (VoD) is not new with US and Western Europe countries showing ever increasing demand for this service – however VoD services have not been implemented in Romania to this day. Filmbox is the first online VoD service on the Romanian market, an easy and convenient way to reach new customers due to the Internet based nature of the platform.The sharing-revenue model ensures that every sold movie contribute to income rise for content owners - profit is therefore directly linked to the number of titles published on the Filmbox platform and to each title download frequency.
Any company who is producing commercial video content as well as any company owning distribution rights for films, documentaries, cartoons, TV shows etc. is invited to join Filmbox and distribute its content through the www.filmbox.ro website, thus reaching our customer base free of extra cost. Each film download through our platform makes for a supplementary income for the content owner, comparable to the income from selling a physical DVD but with a marginal « zero » cost for delivering the film to the consumer. Digital Rights Management – we enforce copyright protection
The Filmbox service employs the Microsoft ™ Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology for enforcing protection on the copyrighted content published to end-users.Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a flexible and powerful technology shipped by Microsoft, practically the industry’s de facto standard for protection and secure delivery of digital copyrighted content for playback on Windows running platforms like most PC computers on the market.
The DRM technology that makes it possible for:
- Packaging digital media content with industry standard encryption algorithms.
- Protecting digital media content against illegal copy and distribution.

Technical requirements
Content published on the Filmbox platform must meet the following technical requirements:- Filmbox accepts video material from content producers/owners in the following formats: MPEG-2, DVD movies, MPEG-4 (practically all MPEG-4 flavors including WMV, AVI, DIVX, H.264 etc.).
- The end user will download movies from the Filmbox website in WMV format (Windows Media Video) – we handle the content conversion to the WMV format if not received as such.
- Supported resolutions: standard / high definition, no restrictions on this matter.
- Each received film must be accompanied by: trailer(s), description (synopsis), author (director, screenwriter, producing studio), distribution (actors in lead roles), subtitle (English and/or Romanian), additional information like: release date, length.

Toate materialele video oferite de Filmbox sunt criptate folosind tehnologia DRM (Digital Rights Management) recunoscuta la nivel international si folosita de cele mai mari companii distribuitoare de continut (Sony, Apple, Microsoft, BBC) ca fiind ce mai buna metoda de protejare a drepturilor de autor prin limitarea controlului asupra fisierelor. Practic DRM permite de la restrictionarea totala a accesului la filme pana la posibilitatea de a revedea nelimitat continutul si chiar de ai face copii, acces controlat de distribuitor. Filmbox furnizeaza doar filme al caror continut nu poate fi copiat/multiplicat si care poate fi revazut de cate ori doreste utilizatorul intrun interval de timp de la 24 de ore la 7 zile, in functie de drepturile achizitionate.Cerinte tehnice
Cerintele tehnice pentru a fi parteneri Filmbox sunt urmatoarele:- Filmbox accepta continut din partea distribuitorilor in urmatoarele formate de intrare: MPEG-2, filme in format DVD, MPEG-4 (WMV, AVI, DIVX etc.).
- Utilizatorul final va descarca filmele in format WMV (Windows Media Video).
- Rezolutii acceptate: standard/high definition, nu exista restrictii in acest sens.
- Fiecare film trebuie sa fie insoti de: trailer, descriere (rezumat), autori (regizor, scenarist, studio producator), distributie (actori in roluri principale), subtitrare si informatii suplimentare despre: data aparitiei, durata.
